Craig William Clay (born 5 May 1992) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for League Two Chesterfield.
Clay started his career at Chesterfield, signing his first professional contract in summer 2010. He made his debut for the club on 18 September 2010, in a 3-0 win over Cheltenham Town at the B2net Stadium, replacing Mark Allott on 85 minutes. On 2 October 2011 he scored his 1st ever professional goal in the 93rd minute to earn a draw in a thrilling 5-5 draw with Crewe. He recently joined Barrow on loan with fellow Chesterfield player Tendayi Darwikwa.[2]
